Like in the English language the Question word is followed by the verb then the subject:
Question word + verb + subject?
Question words are:
Como = how
Donded = where
Quien = who
Que = what
Cual = which
Por que = why
Cuanto = how much
Cuantos, cuantas = how many
Cuando = when
Two of the verbs that commonly follow these questions are ester and ser.
Prepositions that may precede the question words:
en =in, on
de = of, from
con = with
These are used to modify the question.
A common example:
De donde es ---? from where is ---?
